ST BOUNCY CASTLES INSURANCE & SAFETY

ST Bouncy Castle Hire Entertainment & Leisure are fully insured. We hold a policy for 5 million pounds public liability cover, however as per our terms and conditions we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the equipment is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the equipment and its use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers us against set up faults or faulty equipment.

We are insured for children, teenagers and adults so anybody can join in the fun.

All of our drivers are trained as professional installers and are certified by ST Bouncy Castles to be the exclusive installer of our equipment. Our insurance requires that our installers do an onsite inspection as well. Where the safety of your children is concerned, we do not take any chances.

We are members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hire Alliance). The BIHA provides the infrastructure that encourages and supports the sharing of good ideas, expertise, professionalism and safe working practices to the BS EN 14960:2006 Standard, the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and also the PUWER Regs 1998. The BIHA also actively supports the PIPA Scheme for the annual “MOT” testing of inflatables.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Inflatables should not be used in excess of the maximum safe wind speed specified by the manufacturer. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 30-38kph (19-24mph). Weather forecasts can be obtained from the Meteorological Office.

If the wind speed is too high on the day we may need to cancel your job due to health and safety reasons.

SAFE USE OF INFLATABLES

ST Bouncy Castles entertainment and leisure always put the safety of our clients as priority over what we do. We are very safety conscious.

Risk assessments are to be carried out at every event. It is recommended that any person organising an event undertakes a risk assessments of the entire site, especially if you are expecting a large crowd.

A risk assessments will not eliminate the risks but will assist the organisers to identify any potential hazards and manage the risks. Our risk assessments have been supplied by the Health & Safety Executive of The British Inflatable Hirers Association.
